DIY All Natural Body Scrub For Smooth Skin (Step by step tutorial)

It’s been a while and as I prepare for this beautiful winter weather, I wanted to share one of my skin care regimens that gives me that extra glow. 

Now its said that skin regenerates itself every 27 days. Therefore, it is recommended that we exfoliate approximately 2-3 times per week. So, if you have to ask why exfoliating is such an essential part of my skin care routine? It’s simple. It helps remove excess oils, unclogs pores, and allows new skin cells to regenerate. Let’s be honest, no one wants rough, cracked, dry skin, or worse; body acne. 

In this step by step tutorial, I will be showing you how to make a body scrub that will give your skin promising results with just 2 ingredients.

Yes, you read that correctly, 2 ingredients. 

Step 1: For this scrub I will be using Grapeseed Oil and Coconut Sugar. (Continued)

Grapeseed Oil Benefits: Diminishes dark spots, restores collage, tightens & moisturizes the skin. 

Coconut Sugar Benefits: Contains Micro-nutrients such as Zinc & Iron. Coconut Sugar is also finer than most sugars, making it ideal for body scrubs.

   

Step 2: You will need a reusable glass jar with a lid. A Mason Jar will suffice.

Step 3: You can use a measuring cup or measure it by looking at how much oil and sugar you decide on using. For example if you use 1 cup of sugar, you will add in 2 cups of oil. 

Viola, your sugar scrub is ready!

Now you can wait up to 24 hours to use your scrub, this will give all of the ingredients time to soak up all of that goodness, or you can use it right after. The choice is yours.

Quick disclaimer: When showering, I recommend doing this while sitting, for all of the ingredients can cause your shower and/or tub to be slippery. Once you’ve exfoliated I also recommend washing the excess ingredients off with a gentle cleanser. I hope you all enjoy your scrub and the results!
